Bree Edmondston

Helping you understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, and reconnect with the life you want to live.

Life can feel overwhelming at times. Whether you're navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck, counselling provides a space to slow down, feel heard, and begin making sense of your experiences.

Whatever has brought you here, you're welcome here.

Life doesn't always unfold the way we expect.

Sometimes we find ourselves overwhelmed by anxiety, carrying the weight of past experiences, grieving someone we love, feeling disconnected in our relationships, or simply wondering why life feels so much harder than it seems for everyone else.

You don't have to have everything figured out before reaching out for support.

Counselling offers a space to slow down, make sense of your experiences, and begin understanding yourself with greater compassion rather than judgement.

Hi, I'm Bree.

I believe every person's story deserves to be met with compassion rather than judgement.

Over the years I've had the privilege of walking alongside individuals, couples and families through some of life's most difficult seasons. One thing I've learnt is that our thoughts, emotions and behaviours almost always make sense when we understand the experiences that shaped them.

My role isn't to tell you what's wrong with you.

It's to help you understand yourself differently.

"Every part of you has a story. Every story deserves to be understood."

How I Work

Healing isn't about fixing what's "wrong" with you. It's about understanding your story with compassion.

I believe that every person's thoughts, emotions and behaviours make sense when we understand the experiences that have shaped them. The ways we protect ourselves, relate to others and cope with life's challenges often develop for very good reasons, even if they no longer serve us today.

Rather than asking, "What's wrong with you?", I often ask, "What has happened to you, and what parts of you have been working so hard to protect you?"

My approach is attachment-focused, trauma-informed and neuroaffirming, recognising that healing happens when we feel safe, understood and accepted. Together, we'll gently explore your experiences with curiosity rather than judgement, helping you better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships and develop new ways of responding to life's challenges.

I draw on a range of evidence-informed therapeutic approaches, including Resource Therapy (Parts-Based Therapy), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches. Rather than applying a single model to every client, I tailor therapy to your unique experiences, goals and strengths.

Above all, I strive to create a space where you can feel seen, heard and supported, because I believe meaningful change begins with feeling understood.
